T.J., formerly of the now defunct Sacramento metal/hardcore act After The Wake, has joined the ranks of Promising Tomorrow as second vocalist. Needless to say, we're all super stoked on the move and very excited to see how this shapes and defines Promising Tomorrow's future writings as well as their upcoming record which is in the works as we speak. We know, its taken much longer than expected , but we have no doubts the wait will be worth it!

Attention bands! Want to be on an ISR Records compilation?

So what bands would be interested in taking part in a digitally released compilation through ISR Records via Downloadpunk? We are currently yielding submissions! The only requirements are...

-Your track must be of studio quality.
-You must be an unsigned band.
-At least one member of the band must be above the age of 18 and able to sign a license agreement granting us use of your track for the compilation. Those of you bad with legal mumbo jumbo, all it means is that your'e putting your permission to use your track specifically for the compilation in writing. It does NOT mean you are signing over the copyright to your track to us.

We want hardworking bands from all genres, backgrounds, and locations! The compilation will feature 15-20 tracks and be specially low priced (somewhere between $1.99 - $3.99) as a full album download. There is NO fee associated with being apart of this compilation. Sweet huh? We thought so. Plus, there WILL be promotion put into this! The catch is ...we want bands who will help us promote it as well (hence, the hardworking part). Imagine if there are at a minimum of 15 bands from all over promoting a single release featuring your music and vice versa? That's a pretty good opportunity to get your music heard. The title of the compilation is yet to be determined but we're mulling over some ideas. It will also feature downloadable artwork.

This compilation will be put together on a first come, first serve basis. What that means is if we dig your music and offer you a slot on the compilation you must return everything to us promptly. If not, we will move onto the next band who does.

ALL YOU NEED TO DO TO SUBMIT YOUR BAND IS TO E-MAIL US MATT@ISRRECORDS.COM TELLING US YOU ARE INTERESTED AND A LINK WHERE WE CAN CHECK OUT YOUR MUSIC! HOW MUCH SIMPLER CAN THAT BE?

It can't. So lets hear some new music eh? Go!

*NOTE: Downloadpunk is not endorsing (nor is the mention of their name meant to imply so) this release nor is working alongside ISR to organize it. We simply have the means to release a compilation through their fantastic site like any of our other normal label releases.

New Site. New Features. New Start.

Well, here it is (for the most part). We have been working dilligently to expand ISR Records website with a new look, new features, and what we believe will be a new start to the label collectively. When it came to designing the new site, we knew that we wanted to create a site that served not only the record label but the hardcore, metal, and punk communities as a whole. As such, our website breaks down into three sections...

-ISR Records
-Iron Summit E-Zine

Each section of the site serves a different purpose, however, together works toward the same goal of supporting music--most specifically independent music. Below is some information about the different parts of our site and what you can expect...

ISR Records (color code: blue)
The ISR Records portion of our website will be completely dedicated to the ISR label and everything about our artists. It will feature up-to-date news about your favorite ISR artists, a webstore, multimedia section (featuring everything from AIM Icons and desktops to FREE MP3s), band biography pages, show information, as well as information on how you can reach label staff.

The Iron Summit E-Zine (color code: green)
The Iron Summit E-Zine is for the all-around music lover and will cover all non-ISR artists, both on the national and independent circuit. Features will include Featured Artist, Indie Spotlight (for you unsigned bands out there!), Album Of The Week, From The Vault (a section dedicated to paying homage to those bands who helped shape the hardcore, metal, and punk communities to what they are today), as well as up-to-date CD reviews, interviews, multimedia, photo gallery, and forums. Here are our inaugural features...

Featured Artist - Misery Signals
Indiespotlight - Get Out Alive
From The Vault - Love Lost But Not Forgotten
Album Of The Week - Unearth-III:In The Eyes Of Fire

...plus CD reviews for...
Alexisonfire - Crisis
Cursive - Happy Hollow
Hatebreed - Supremacy
Misery Signals - Mirrors
Norma Jean - Redeemer
Unearth - III: In The Eyes Of Fire
Walls Of Jericho - With Devils Amongst Us All

We will continue to add little different features and content to the site so be on the lookout everyday and keep coming back. For now, enjoy the hard work we've put into the site!

Matt Manguso
ISR Records
